Prestige RM Announces Virtual Health Program in TX and CA

Released May 5, 2021 By Christi Osborne, Director of Marketing

After treating thousands of patients in its six clinic locations, Prestige is launching a telehealth program to provide hormone replacement therapy and sexual wellness treatments across the states of Texas and California.

TEXAS, May 5, 2021 - Prestige Regenerative Medicine, a chain of clinics specializing in age management medical treatments, has expanded its service to now offer telemedicine options for residents of Texas and California.

Previously only available through six Prestige clinics located in California (Redding, Chico, and soon-to-open Novato) and Texas (Waco, Temple, and College Station), Prestige's virtual health offering is in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, now offering discreet, contactless treatment options for patients who wish to avoid the hassle of visiting a doctor's office.

Prestige is best known for cutting edge regenerative medicine treatments such as bioidentical hormone replacement therapy and acoustic wave therapy for improving erectile function. The virtual program now enables patients to receive these treatments privately from the convenience of their homes through telehealth consults with Prestige specialists followed by prescriptions and medical treatment devices shipped directly and discretely to their door.

The treatments benefit a surprisingly high percentage of the population. Low testosterone (a hormone known as an "androgen") affects one in every four men over the age of 30. In addition, a Johns Hopkins study revealed that over 18 million men in the U.S. over the age of 20 experience difficulties having and maintaining an erection.

But the common decrease in testosterone with age doesn't only affect men. According to the Department of Health & Human Services in Victoria, Australia, by the time a woman is 40 years old, her androgen levels are about half of what they were when she was 20. Decreased androgen levels in women lead to common uncomfortable symptoms such as depressed or irritable moods, declining libido, lethargy, poor sleep, weight gain, hot flashes, brain 'fog,' and other symptoms.

Chief Medical Officer Rob Hamilton, M.D. spearheaded the development of the virtual program. Formerly serving on faculty at Stanford University and as Medical Director of the Emergency Medicine department at Mercy Medical Center in Redding, CA, Hamilton developed a passion for helping patients avoid the ravages of aging and the disease that followed, and upon completion of his regenerative medicine fellowship, founded Prestige Regenerative Medicine in 2015.

"Seeing the dramatic transformation in couples' lives when their hormones are properly balanced and their sexual function is optimized is the most gratifying aspect of practicing medicine I have ever experienced," says Hamilton.

Prestige's virtual health program takes a more comprehensive approach than competitors, including specialized lab testing at no additional cost to the patient. For men, these tests include analysis of both total and free testosterone levels. For women, the program includes the Dutch hormone test, a unique method for more accurate hormone and oral progesterone monitoring.

The program also includes custom compounded bioidentical hormone prescriptions, not the less expensive but more commonly prescribed synthetic hormones. The sexual performance packages for men include a combination of custom compounded prescriptions for erectile function, clinically proven supplements for increasing blood flow, and the most effective erectile treatment medical devices on the market. Medical oversight and an online patient portal provides patients with easy access to their provider.
