What is Vaginal Laxity?
Vaginal laxity is a common symptom of aging in all women, and particularly common in women who have given birth naturally. This “looseness” leads to decreased enjoyment of intimate relations for both partners, decreased arousal, decreased sensation, and often difficulty with or inability to achieve orgasm. In addition, aging and the loss of critical hormones decreases natural lubrication which can lead to painful or uncomfortable intercourse. Structural changes in the critical peri-urethral tissues lead to worsening stress urinary incontinence (SUI) which may cause women to leak urine when they laugh, jump, exercise, cough, sneeze, or just go about their daily activities.

Laser Therapy vs. Viveve®
