Dr. Julie Hamilton obtained her bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and her medical degree from Stanford University. During both undergraduate and medical school she traveled the world extensively and did medical research and volunteer work in Papua New Guinea and Indonesia, and between served as a first grade teacher in Costa Rica. Her love of travel and passion for people continues to inspire her today.
After completing residency and obtaining Board Certification in Emergency Medicine at UCSD / Stanford University, she moved to Redding and served as a staff Physician at Mercy Medical Center Redding and St. Elizabeth Community Hospital in Red Bluff Community Hospital.
Dr. Hamilton went on to obtain Board Certification in Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine and was the Founding Physician of the Mercy Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Center, where she continues to function as both the Medical Director of the Wound Center and an active Staff Physician. She is passionate about the care of chronic and non-healing wounds, and she is widely sought after both regionally and nationally for her expertise.
